What is new:

19.12.2008:

Davar3 - BETA3 version is out! (last beta version) This release fixes many bugs (mainly in Windows Vista) and add some new features and options:

*NEW FEATURE: Module installation tool. Some people had problems to perform unzip of modules. The module installation tool helps you to install most book, lexicon and dictionary modules, which you download from Davar3 web page. Now, you just select ZIP file and press install button. It is also possible to see information about module before it is installed.

*NEW FEATURE: New tag for synchronization of text with PDF files. Expect new modules which will profit from this tag. First module which uses this tag is Czech "Biblický Slovník Adolfa Novotného"-see below.

*NEW OPTION: When you run Davar for first time, you are asked if enable/disable update checking from internet.

*BUGFIX: Windows Vista (SOMETIMES!) frozen when program display ContextTip. It was found that this bug depends how much were Vista actualised. Possible solution was found - instead of Riched32.dll, program uses Riched20.dll. When you run Davar for first time, Vista are detected and you are informed about automatic use of Riched20.dll in ContextTip. This can be changed in Options manually. This bug was not observed in W98-XP. Context Tips are now disabled by default, you can enable from program toolbar.

*MINOR BUGFIXES: Tip of the day counter, installation script and proper font installation, fixed actual URL of program in references, verse list crashed when you clicked "add" and no module was opened, and other ...


*NEW MODULES AND UPDATES:

FPRASA (FinnishSaarisaloNT) - as we were informed, copyright status of module is unclear. Until we will be sure that can offer this text, module was withdrew from download.

(CZ) Biblický slovník Adolfa Novotného Biblický slovník Adolfa Novotného. Vydalo nakladatelství Kalich, 1956, 1992. Tato elektronická verze Biblického slovníku byla vytvořena skenováním knižní předlohy, a poté pomocí OCR převedena do stávající podoby. Následné korektury jsou společným dílem téměř 40 dobrovolníků, kteří s velkou pečlivostí text přečetli a opravili. Tento modul programu Davar umožňuje synchronizaci s PDF souborem. Pokud do adresáře s EXE souborem programu umístíte rovněž soubor "slovnik_novotny.pdf", můžete ve slovníku dvojklikem na link v záhlaví (označeno jako "PDF:") zobrazit PDF verzi slovníku, která se otevře na příslušné stránce s heslem. Předpokládá se, že je v počítači nainstalován program Adobe Acrobat Reader verze 7 nebo novější.

16.9.2008:

* Updated Hebrew Strong lexicon (str_he) and released new versions of Strong Internet Public Domain Greek and Hebrew lexicons (stripd_gr and stripd_he). Both files now include in header also original strong lexicon descriptions. Please download and install manually.
* Released Kralicka Bible 1613 (kb1613).
(CZ): Bylo zjištěno, že text modulu Kralické Bible (kb.dbk) byla jiná verze než avizované poslední vydání z roku 1613 (jednalo se o konverzi z programu Theophilos). Byl získán nový text, který byl dále opraven, aby co nejpřesněji odpovídal tištěné předloze.
Takto byl vytvořen modul kb1613.dbk. Původní modul kb.dbk je nyní pozastaven. Časem bude vytvořen modul Kralické Bible - první vydání z let 1579 - 1593.

29.8.2008:

* Davar3beta2 UPDATED (build 3.0.0.269)
* Fixed str_he lexicon in package. Also updated links in program - if you wish to be informed about updates, install this new version (TIP: to avoid 20 MB download, you can get zipped system version and use only davar3.exe and davar3_en.chm files)

Transfer od Davar web to new hosting and domain (www.davar3.net) is almost done. In future (this year), old Davar web will not be updated and will be used only as mirror of main web. Please, bookmark http://www.davar3.net

11.7.2008:

Davar3 BETA2 - installation EXE package was released.

For your comfort, you can download (and freely distribute) this installation file. Selected modules are installed/uninstalled. Installation of fonts is done automatically. Using of LZMA compression in NSIS installer, file size is lower (now 20.5 MB).

11.6.2008:

Davar3 - BETA2 version is out! This is bug-fix version and only small new features were added:

* HELP in English, Czech and Portugese.
We spend lot of time with help files to have it well readable. You can learn in help all D3 features, find there examples, all with many pictures. Pressing F1 (or starting from menu) will show help file, according actual language. If you use different language than EN, CZ or PT - then English help is used by default. All help files are included in "Basic sample package-Option I."
IF YOU WISH TO HELP TO LOCALIZE HELP FILE - let us know!

* New localizations: Finnish (T.Sakkara). Davar3 has now 12 language localizations.
Because language localization files depends on executable version, we removed LNG files download from web. Each Davar3 release will have latest version of localization. After final Davar3 release, new and updated localizations will be available as one ZIP package.

* Localised names of book. Now you can use localised name of books in Bible in all opened modules, even when module is in different language. Localised names are stored in LNG files - you can easily edit.

* New modules and updates:

* Fixed many bugs. As was reported, D3b2 is bugfix release. Here just briefly, what was fixed:

- Context tip. Many users reported hang of PC. Context tips now consume low CPU. There is tip delay setting in option, default value 750 ms.
- check for actualization
- PDF and CHM help are working now
- Hebrew keys are now different, there was collision with hot keys of program
- Vista fix: Run from CD/DVD works.
- W98 fix - SHGetFolderPath() function is no available in W98 and D3b1 had some kind of problems with this call.
- Save configuration with no changes crashed in some cases.
- Watch clipboard crashed in case of long texts.
- Vista: export to clipboard, we use temporary file which is deleted.
- Fixed charset of morphology in context tip.
- MDD export had sometimes bad number if records in mdd file.
- decoding of Greek morphology - picture browser: now you can use "<-" and "->" arrows for previous/next picture
- fixed position of picture, stored in cfg file.
- export of LEX record to TXT or RTF produced error message and was cancelled.
- ...and many other bugs was fixed.

* mDavar 2.0 FINAL VERSION released
Package with source code (GPL), conversion utilities, examples and information is also available.

6.12.2007:

* mDavar 2.0 beta 3 released
Hebrew is now available in three font sizes. Released as obfuscated MIDP 1.0 version - should run faster and on more phones than beta2 release.
Also, some bugs were found and fixed.
